I see that Joao Sousa has gone on to take out the man of the moment, beating Tsitsipas in a 3rd set breaker.
Home crowd behind him helping no doubt. Tsitipas has played a lot of matches recently so its probably a bigger match for Sousa than him and long term the young Greek has a better future ahead of him. No matter how you dress it up Kyles loss was disappointing.
I would think the home crowd was rather behind Sousa when he beat Kyle and Tsitsipas had played rather a lot of matches when he beat Cam's conqueror RCB. But guess even more behind Sousa, yet another match played for Tsitsipas, another day and more cakes to eat

Ohoh, some racquet chucking from the opposition there.
It's a shame you're not going to see Kyle in Madrid but I'm sure you would much rather have him win a title.
It'll be really good for the both of them, Kyle to sort of avenge his loss in the other 250 final which was fairly dismal and for Cam - gives him a look at what he is capable of at the higher ATP level.

Absolutely. A first ATP title for both Cam and Kyle would be tremendous.
I am also keeping my eye very closely on the OoP for tomorrow in Madrid, just in case, although I can't see them making Kyle play tomorrow.
