Week 18 - Challenger (€85,000) - Glasgow Trophy, Glasgow, Great Britain (indoor hard)

Might be a bit tricky getting back from Tunisia in time to sign in for qualifying !

Bit ironic, isn't it, that Dan was training with Ed only a week ago

Dan v ed is actually v interesting, a Dan win will certainly give a good indication that he is hitting the ground running, a loss wont be too big an issue first match up. I suspect Ed will feel the pressure more here. Second match up is v winnable for either of them instinct is that dan will come through and be our only qualifier for the main draw.

Well that still stops him playing qualifying here doesn't it. Maybe if you actually read what people put

Probably the worst draw for both Ed v Dan, both could have went deep this week.

Like Dennis Taylor exclaiming "he's went in off!" in a snooker commentary.  disbelief   Is it a Celtic thing?

No its called typing on an iPhone changing what you were going to say then not checking it back.

You must be a Tory Im thinking.

I would have thought the likes of Neil Pauffley would have been here but sadly or maybe not hes still playing in Tunisia.

Er, no, he isn't.

That's strange, 'cos I could have sworn you posted that he is in tomorrow's SF in Jerba

I did, but he's not playing there next week.

But he cant enter qualifying. You are having a nightmare here Stircrazy, quit while you and behind and post your pish in the doubles threads where I cant see them Im thinking.

The draw says "byes 16" so looks the theory was a 32 man qualifying draw and they've ended up just ensuring they at least got 16.

Dan and Ed are of course our best two in qualifying. For Dan though unseeded he had to face a seed in QR1 and probably another in QR2 if he got through with one being a top 4 seed. Ed's hardly been in great form so for Dan I'd say not really that bad, with Sam Barry the other seed in that bracket. Ed will be rather wary no doubt though and no doubt would have preferred someone else.

Think away - & try adding a few apostrophes in the right places while you're at it!

Nice that Scottish lads Connor and Jake get a try out in the qualis here.

Ed v Evo is a downer......
