The outcome of the match doesn't appear to have been reported, so:

L32:  (3) David Guez (FRA) WR 284 defeated (WC) Aidan McHugh WR 1252 by 7-6(5) 6-3

He was actually well behind and then caught up but got broken when serving to take it to a tie break (I think).

4-4 in the second set. For info, Heliovaara won the F2 event at Loughborough in February time, so plays well on GB soil it seems. Presumably he will aim to be back there in a couple of weeks

Way to go for James

Some recent wins over players ranked in the 300s but beyond that Uchida WR 294 in R1 here is his highest ranked victory in recent times. Had thought he would win that R2 match though.

Yes very disappointing, I couldnt make it along today and was going tomorrow if James had won but Im not going to bother now our interest has ended. A waste of funds indeed, it was always going to be hard to find any results with the pool of the players we had entered, irony being that Ed and Dan were probably our best hopes, so them meeting was unfortunate.

You could go along for the doubles! Scott and Johnny won today...
