Ah I see not invested any time researching that yet, thanks for the explanation. In theory then it should be reward those winning titles and going deep at this level, and in turn remove the plodders and mummyanddaddypayformytennisdespitemebeingdross types then.

All these unpleasant posts are such a good recommendation for the tories in Scotland!
Actually it hasn't been noted that Lina is the younger sister of Julia. I had thought the name was familiar, without putting two and two together. Our Lina appears to have something about her too, her pedigree is showing, as for the first time this week Emilie is starting very much on the back foot. In general this week Emilie's serve has held up well and she has not been broken often in matches, but today she's already 1-5 down first set, so hope she can start to get into the match and regroup for the second set.
One break back a good start *2-5

If you had Emilie down for last Brit lady standing in singles, then collect your large cheque now.
Need some work to extend the run further, having surrendered the first et, 3-6

Data I post, opinions I offer, 'facts' I assert, are almost certainly all stupidly wrong.
A pity. Emilie won her next service game, and then had one BP opportunity to bring the score back on serve first set, but she didn't take it, and then Lina went on to hold and win the set... And though she seemed to be gaining a foothold in the match end of that first set, Emilie has now been broken again start of the second 3-6 0-1*
