Couldn't as for more than that from Kedders. Got the job done very efficiently and hopefully saved some energy for later. Just a shame Gilles Simon couldn't serve out the 2nd set at *6-5 against Gasquet and take the "senior citizens" of the tournament into a lengthy 3rd set decider.
I think beating jaziri and Gasquet back to back 4 straight sets is a fine effort, kyle should be very pleased.
I added the "sort of" comment because Kyle was a break up in the middle of the second set, but surrendered it, before breaking for a second time. I, too, am pleased that he nevertheless won the match with relative ease.
Kyke is up to 23 in the live rankings. Will go up to WR 20 if he wins the title. He is up to #7 in the live race and in that he will be quite close behind Isner and Anderson, neither of whom are in Monte Carlo, if he wins the title here.

You could call that losing and regaining a break Murray-esque!

Kyle is really beginning to chalk up those milestones this year. As well as more general improvements such as: better all court game, improved closing out of tight matches, he has also tick some more specific boxes. First Top 10 win, first deep run in GS (the SF to be precise) and now first ATP final. I know the draw hasn't been that strong in Morocco, but you can only beat what is in front of you and if Kyle has done it in style so far.
Just hoping now that Kyle can chalk up one more milestone tomorrow. With that in mind, Andujar has just taken the 1st set against Sousa. Have to say, I was expecting Sousa to be the winner of that match, which he may well still be, but if he does, he is going to have to do it in 3 sets.
