Jay was robbed in that first set.

He had a break point in the last game, hit a smoking return that cleaned the line that was called out and (to the umpires credit) was over ruled straight away.

However, basso managed to get the ball in court and although it would have been an easy winner for Jay, he cant be awarded the point.

To bassos credit he played a good 3 points after that to convert.

Im confident jay will win still.

This isn't a great performance, way too many errors.  Jay is a set and 2 breaks down.

I'm off to bed.

Jay had just won 3 games back in a row so difficult to say who the break in play is good for. Hopefully he can come out again strongly and level things up in the set. Well he has to or it'll be quickly all over.

Luke & Jonny were an early break up in their QF at *2-1 when they also had to stop.

The Wiley old dogs pulled through. Obviously given a run for their money in the first set as is often the way when talented juniors start off
