Freya takes the first set and breaks at the beginning of the second. 7-5 *1-0
This could be a long day for Freya with her R32 match to complete, potentially the R16 match in the afternoon and her doubles match to finish off the day this evening.

Freya got another break to take the score to 4-0. But since then there have been 3 long deuce games which she could do without and which she has lost. *4-3
Meanwhile, over on court 1 the R32 match to decide Katie S's next opponent is only just starting.
There was a retirement after 4 games so Swan opponent should be relatively fresh. Freya opponent played yesterday so will probably be at an advantage. Boulter obviously lost a set yesterday, but interestingly, her opponent drooped a set to a Portuguese wildcard where she was 1/50 to win. For context, another wildcard who was the same size underdog (10/1), lost her first round match 6-0 6-1.
I see there has been a retirement before the start of the Rodionova-Lanca second round match. Not sure which one but it would be annoying from Maia's perspective if it was the former.

Lanca retired. Rodionovo was leading 6-1 5-1.
Ah, fair enough. I was just going off Google. Their live scores mustn't be working as it just said retirement with no reference to any score so assumed it hadn't started.
