Freya won first set 6-3 and is *3-0 double break up in the 2nd so looks nailed on to qualify.
Emily dropped the first set 4-6, but for what it's worth, both are 10/11 so perhaps not a lost cause.
An event with both Katies, Maia and Freya would still be good and would generate a lot of interest on here. Hopefully the weather is not too much of a problem and would be great if there were some streams.
*Emily at *15-40 in the first game of the second set, so not a great sign. One saved, *30-40.
Despite her lowly ranking, Bejenaru is a right pesky Brit basher.
We were 3-9 against her last year, and 0-1 currently this.
Come on Emily, strike a blow!

Data I post, opinions I offer, 'facts' I assert, are almost certainly all stupidly wrong.
Emily now 4-6 *2-4. Still just 1 break needed, but the Romanian is seemingly comfortable holding and keeps holding to 15 or 30, so Emily has never really had many opportunities whilst I've been following.
FQR: APPLETON, Emily (GBR) [q]11 622 losing to Karola Patricia BEJENARU (ROU) 910 (CH:746 Aug 16) 4-6 *2-4 40-30
(ed) Emily's match is now indicated as interrupted, whether light or more likely rain unclear, but suggests she will have to return tomorrow to complete this match

Think something has happened in the match, been *40-30 for ages now and the odds on the bookies site I am following has temporarily been taken down. Perhaps a dispute, injury, weather?
It now says suspended, so possibly due to light as it will be 9pm over there. Freya was lucky to get hers finished in time.
Tomorrow's order of play has been revised due to rain. Emily's singles match now due to resume at 10am. She was originally scheduled to play doubles at 10am. However, rain is forecast for much of the day.
