A) a loss doesn't mean anything is necessarily wrong I.e injury. Most likely, just outplayed and outgunned
B) might be a disappointing loss but still learning at this level. Plus, played both doubles and singles last week, minor recovery period in between tournaments.
I didn't follow the second set but it was 6-2, 32 points to 25, 2/5 BPs taken against 0/5. That still looks fairly competitive.
Jay has not generally reached such a level on clay that I find such a scoreline against a player in the mid 200s at all strange or particularly worrying, especially if on a good day against maybe a not top notch Jay.
As I said I hoped. But without looking into Choinski more, and he has moved up a lot in the rankings over the last year, not a big surprise.
