This is terrible. Not sure what purpose this event served for Jo and Heather. They should be moving to prepare on hard courts next week for Fed Cup.

Monterrey would have made much more sense.

Jo actually did some hard court practice yesterday, and she played it in a match against Osaka... on top of a skyscraper!

Stollar looks like avenging that eassy loss in Fed Cup, and the performance against Mertens just a few days ago looks like a gigantic outlier, almost a fluke, given the levels generally in the last 12 months.
Will Gabi be year end GB #1!?

This is so awful. I hate to criticise but Jo is obviously so lacking in confidence and there continues to be absolutely no plan B. All she seems to want to do is hit it harder and harder until she herself makes a mistake. She has now just completely missed the ball to give up a match point which is then converted. I really really dont know where Jo goes from this one. She is so so struggling....

Jo hasn't lost to a player lower ranked than Stollar's current WR 219 since April 2015, when she lost to WR 276 Katerina Stewart - Jo was WR 138 at the time.

That was dreadful. What are her coaching team doing? There's no evidence of anything actually happening in her game. I still don't see why either of our girls were playing this event in their schedule and all its done is reinforced negativity.

Shes running out of time to salvage anything before her ranking drops like a stone in the summer. It's getting pretty critical and it's sad to see. She used to be so clean and reliable. Now it doesn't matter who she draws she's in trouble.
