Increasingly exciting match to watch. Thought Naomi had blown it when she started complaining about a call but she got it back together and well done both. Fantastic result !!!
Naomi is just the fourth GB woman to win a WTA title of any description since Jo Durie; following in the footsteps of Heather, Johanna & Anna. WTA titles really are that rare for Brits.
This is her fifteenth career doubles title, and twenty-fourth professional title overall.
Sara is Naomi's 11th partner with which she's claimed a title (he doubled up with Webley-Smith, Mircic, Mladenovic & Kr. Pliskova)
This is the sixth consecutive year in which Naomi has won at least one pro title. Since she won her first title, in 2007, she has only failed to win a title in one year since, 2012.
Chuffed to bits for her

Quite a doubles player. Although there is little point in going there, results like this make me wish she would make herself available for the federations cup. She has put herself in a position to be a genuine touring professional player through her own hard work and I am sure the guys running the LTA when she was a teenager now have rigor mortis.
Naomi has done brilliantly to get where she is through her own hard work. The knawing feeling I always have with her is where might she have got to with more than that at different stages of her career. Possibly the at least top 50 player that got away. But choices were made and post the LTA's initial ( what most people would see as ) overreaction ultimately much more on the Broady side.
It's certainly true that with her excellent serve, wingspan at the net and highly dodgy mobility, there's a lot of reasons for doubles to suit Naomi down to the ground. But she obviously likes singles and she makes a pretty good stab at it. You've got to respect her....seems a really decent person too.
