Just have a series of votes. Who do you award your first vote to, who do you award your second vote to etc, and err trust folk not to repeat the same person or pair.

Or more practically, something like a preliminary vote of Alfie vs Alfie & Gordon - don't know if that was the sort of 'subterfuge' you were thinking about.

We will make it work whatever happens! I've probably jinxed Alfie for singles anyway!

So , alfie wins singles as well and I reckon deserves solo recognition so going to add him in, on his own

So, October nominations are:

Eliz Maloney

Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid

Alfie Hewett

Still early in the week, but Cam is having a great week in Russia so far, we still have him in singles and doubles, Ken and Dom in Cologne (albeit Ken not played yet). Jodie and Harriet going well so far in Cherbourg, probably others but theyve caught my eye. Lots of disappointing ones though (Dan, Kyle, Evo, Jay).

So, just adding in the players still alive this week from the CD post elsewhere

Men: Cameron Norrie at the ATP 500 in St. Petersburg - Cam lost

Women: Jodie Burrage and Harriet Dart at the 25k in France - Harriet into semis

In the doubles, we've got still standing:

Beth and Harriet in France 25k - Beth and Harriet into the final

Emily Arb and Freya in Egypt 15k - Em and Freya into final

Dominic Inglot+ at ATP 250 in Cologne

So Harriet, Beth / Harriet and Emily/Freya definitely alive for the weekend, are any of them closing in on a POM nomination?

Jodie and Harriet into semis in France, Beth and Harriet as a pair into the final, Emily and Freya into the final.

Reminder, anyone wishing to nominate someone for October, just post here and I will add to the list. No supporting justification needed although it is nice to know why! But all nominations  accepted unless they are clearly off the wall!!

I'm keeping an eye on cam as a possible nominee this month besting Schwartzman at the uso and then qf in singles and doubles in an atp500. Let's see how he gets on this week, if he plays, or in Nur sultan the following week

I'll take the pressure off her for the singles final

Both singles and doubles finals in an extremely strong 25K.

I nominate Harriet.

I am going to throw another hat in the ring now. I know it is only one win (so far) but to come back off such a long lay off and comprehensively beat a player ranked around the 250 mark is a great result.

So I nominate Jack Draper.
