So Emilie joins Harriet in drawing the top seed in the first round. That's tough, Emilie played well last week, and given the benefit of a WC it's a pity she did not have a better crack at a second counter this week cry

Emilie really deserves a ranking and I hope she can get one soon. She has fought the top seed WR411 throughout the first set, recovering two breaks, but unfortunately losing the third to lose the set 5-7. At the beginning of the second set breaks were traded again, this time Emilie breaking first 5-7 *1-2

Jodie was similarly behind in her first set, but then got the breaks that mattered at the end to win it 6-4. It's now 6-4 *1-1

Jodie is playing a qualifier however, Emilie the top seed... so in terms of performances so far, Emilie is winning by a mile, even if losing her actual match...

From whatever can be deduced from livescore & the stats there, certainly this has the impression of another good performance from Emilie.
She's just tied the second set back up

Yes, unfortunate for Emilie. She's had two excellent performances in succeeding weeks against the #s 3 and 1 seeds respectively, without gaining any points at all. That's extremely unlucky, for both draws to be so tough, as she otherwise certainly deserved to get counters from both weeks, which would have given her a ranking. As it is, she is still stuck on only one counter, and she is not down here for any further week's playing for the time being. cry
