0/8 BPs converted pretty much tells the story. Jay does look comfortable on the surface though and is creating lots of opportunities with persistence from the back of the court. Perhaps a tournament where he's not so afraid of the balls 'flying' on him will allow him to be a little more aggressive.

This has been a very positive week for Jay though. Well done to him as he continues his comeback from injury!

Can happen I guess on a given day without doing much really wrong. I just picked it up at 4-3* in the second set and didn't see the BPs so don't know how they played out?

Yes, possibly good point re maybe concern with balls flying at altitude. I was certainly thinking he needs more oomph here.

Federer may be The Man but one element that you don't want to replicate is his generally poor BP conversion.

Yes, a great 6-3 6-4 win over the top seeds in the SF, so does put him into one final! smile

That's a cracking win!  biggrin

*****

Final:  Jay Clarke & Kevin Krawietz (GER) CR 383 (254+129) vs Boris Arias & Federico Zeballos (BOL/BOL) CR  (295+217) or (2) Marcelo Arévalo & Miguel Angel Reyes (ESA/) CR 188 (96+92)

Whoops!   Didn't look closely enough at the other result on the live scoreboard.

For now I am afraid we can't offer you tonight's lottery numbers but there's a go at the other semi final winner

If I'd been a betting woman...

Final:  Jay Clarke & Kevin Krawietz (GER) CR 383 (254+129) vs (2) Marcelo Arévalo & Miguel Angel Reyes (ESA/) CR 188 (96+92)

Didn't win a penny on the lottery, though.  cry

Arévalo's also contesting the preceding singles final.

Which he won in three sets - against a qualifier...
