That's good news about Gabi. She's certainly earned a rest by whatever means.
On biomechanics: Lisa seemed to ingrain the bad practices to the detriment of her career. Her contemporary, Jade Windley, could hardly have done anything better or have had a more biomechanically correct, fluid and easy game, yet suffered the same fate of an early retirement and never realising their full potential.
Like so many things, too many things: it's complicated.

Good news - Gabi has just tweeted that it's only a minor injury and that she'll be back soon
Yes, this is the tweet:
Sadly had to end my Aussie trip with a retirement due to a minor injury. On the bright side, Its been a great couple of weeks for me and now its time to go home finally and recuperate#lovedit#backsoon#thanksteam@BritishTennis
I find myself on 'Australia time' but all of a sudden, there's no more lovely matches to watch
Remember the days of yore, when we had to wait, oh, all of a few hours just to see the scores after a match had happened? Primitive times.
