Well Katy's first win on clay this year, out of 3 matches played, so that's some improvement at least. It seems though that it's not a surface she is that comfortable on yet, but good for her to get the experience. It will be interesting to see what type of tournaments and surfaces Katy goes for next, once she's recovered from this Aussie spell of matches.

Well done on turning that round, Katy.

She adds 5 ( net 4 points ) but after this week 5 points will be her lowest ranking counting score with 8 the next lowest counter if she goes beyond adding a second 5 here. Nothing due off until 21/05 ( and that one of her 8s ) and then 11/06 ( 25 points ).

So in the short term once she adds this week's points ( and hopefully more to come ) her ranking can't really go backwards but she will have to score pretty decent points to add net points.

Good heavens and one of the players is having a MTO before the match has even started crycrycry

Not clear whom. The match has started. Gabi won the first two points returning serve, but Mcphee then held.

Gabi has also held to 30. Not clear what that MTO was about. Holding thumbs 1-1

Gabi's now been broken and at this point I'm really fearing the worst. I'm not expecting this match to finish 1-3.

Gabi has broken back - neither keen on holding serve at present.

Yes, she's won the last 8 points in a row. Here's hoping that whatever those MTOs were about, Gabi is ok

Gabi converts her 3rd individual BP of the 9th game and is now serving for the first set.

*5-4

And the 1/7 has gone. Make that now 1/50.
