Boys & Girls: Vendimia Cup, Argentina - clay - Grade 3 (Week 12)

Holly Fischer is fourth seed here with a BYE in R1

George Davis is in the main draw too, seeded 11.

And young Mila Burek, age 13, (and as discussed in the other threads re a seeming penchant for high ranking tournaments in far-flung places) has come through quails.

QR1: Mila BUREK (GBR)     6-3 6-1     Celeste Agustina DENIZ REYES (ARG)

FQR: Mila BUREK (GBR)     6-1 6-0     Florencia FUENTES (ARG)

And as good a draw as Mila could hope for, in search of her first ranking points. Her opponent has just one G5 win so far. George, like Holly, has a bye

Girls R1 (L48)

(WC) Solana Sierra (ARG) v (Q) Mila Burek

Unfortunately, despite the excellent draw, Mila couldn't get the win. (She did get a win in doubles, though)

Girls R1 (L48)

(WC) Solana Sierra (ARG) def. (Q) Mila Burek (GBR) 6-1 6-4

In the girls' dubs, Mila+ got another win and is through to the QF. Which, I think, will be the first ranking points for the 13 year-old.

Holly and partner are also into the QFs.

George+ lost.

I feel Holly and Emma have been at a very similar standard through there development, hopefully Holly is now fully fit very good to see her easing through the early rounds of this event
