Also interesting to see that although Olivia withdrew from singles qualifying, she is still here and playing with Alicia again in the doubles... They take on the 4th seeds first up.
Exactly the same pair as they beat 4 and 3 in the first round last week in Israel!
Yes Q players not yet placed, but Alicia has her draw.
Danielle now placed too, against Kana Daniel (Taro's brother), who beat Olivia last week in the second round.

I remember watching Dasha Ivanova at Roehampton 18 months ago - she had a pretty tight match against Hannah McColgan that Hannah, in fact, could have won - there wasn't much in it. Dasha then made the final before losing to the French girl. She also beat Laura S, Manisha and Ellie-Rose G but lost against Olivia as part of that spate of UK events. Also lost to Katie S at the start of the year.
Nice to see that Danielle and Amelia (not together) have also got plays in the dubs.
I'm glad to hear that.
The 'Alicias' that I know are all 'Lissey/Lissy' - so I was surprised to read Lizzie.
But maybe the journalist misheard or just assumed.
Or maybe she went by Lizzie in America because the 'locals' couldn't manage Lissey (having lived in several countries, including America, lots of people compromise on their names just for convenience coz it's simply not worth the effort to keep insisting on the 'real' version.
It's been a long time coming but finally some good news coming out of Tel Aviv today. Alicia - Lissey - and Olivia have won their R16 doubles match, against the same #4 seeds they played in the first round last week, as telstar noted. It was nevertheless a tight match; thankfully they won the last 3 points... 6-3 5-7 10-7.
This good news after 3 earlier losses - Alicia's singles, and both Danielle's and Amelie's doubles matches. Danielle still to play her R32 singles tomorrow.
Pretty impressive, considering the disastrous start, only winning one point in the first three games, and that was given to her by a double fault !
Five consecutive breaks from 1-3, and it's preety close now - 33 points each when I last looked
That was as good as it got from Danielle. Good effort but nowhere near another point.
