I like the idea of Alexis being a Jewish cantor (and he does play a lot of tournaments in Israel) but he's a 'Canter' - although the basis of the name is obviously the same - and I once heard the most amazing cantor in Vienna - but no idea if Alexis can sing though.....
Good to see Alexis get another point. He plays quite a lot of tournaments and played a lot latterly as a junior, travelling all over the place ( too much? ).
I get the sense of a player who really wants to make it ( OK, not unusual ) and is looking for that breakthrough and significant push forward. All the best to him.
