Horsham re-instated into the FA Cup after Barnsley fielded an ineligible player.

I assume they get the rather nice prize money as well...

Not to mention quite a local derby against Sutton in the R2 fixture.

Chesterfield are almost certainly up.
Oxford City look like they are relegated.

In the North, suprise package Tamworth are close to promotion and Bishop Stortford seem doomed.
In the South, Yeovil are back on the up and Dover are in big trouble.

Looking around the leagues. Radcliffe, Hornchurch, Needham Market and Chesham are in pole position to get promoted.

Non League day today.
If you are looking for something to do this afternoon, go and support your local non league team - plenty of clubs doing promotions.

Most of the top leagues are now decided.

Chesterfield - promoted to football league
Tamworth & Yeovil - promoted to National League

Mainly places for playoffs and the final relegation spots remain.

The biggest issue has been the weather and the FA's refusal to extend the season. This means lots of clubs have to play every other day to complete their fixtures or move to neutral venues.

Halifax had to move their matches.
Lots of North West Counties teams have had to find clubs with 3G/4G pitches to hire

Some very big gates in the lower leagues
Ramsgate v Cray Valley drew 2500 for their title clash Isthmian SE

Yeovil and S****horpe broke NLS and NLN attendance records

Macclesfield are regularly getting 3500-4000 in NPL
Bury are getting 3000 in NWCL
Dulwich are still getting full houses despite being relegated and short of the playoffs.

Generally nonleague crowds are growing significantly

In the Scottish non leagues the Lowland League and Highland League champions have emerged as East Kilbride ( easily ) and Buckie Thistle ( on goal difference by 2 goals ) respectively.

They now play-off in the play-off SFs ( 1st leg on Saturday ), with the winner playing the bottom team in League 2 for a place in League 2 next season.

East Kilbride lies about 8 miles SE of Glasgiw and is Scotland's 6th largest city / town with a population of around 75,000 so most certainly the largest town currently without a  league team. It was designated Scotland's first 'new town'. In 1947.

Buckie lies on the Moray Firth coast, roughly equidistant from Inverness and Aberdeen and has a population of about 9,000.

Weren't East Kilbride a former League team?
I thought Brechin were in with a chance of going up?

No, East Kilbride have never been a league team. They have reached the play-offs twice previously and lost out.

It was Brechin City that Buckie just pipped by 2 goals on GD. And Brechin had been in pole position going into the last month or so but had some slip ups.

They were rather aided by playing the bottom club Strathspey twice last week - won 6-1 at home on the Monday and then 7-0 away on the Wednesday - to go top ( Strathspey finished off on Saturday by losing 11-0 to the 3rd team in the league, Fraserburgh )

On the final Saturday both Buckie and Brechin won by 1 goal ( Buckie 1-0 at home to Keith and Brechin 2-1 away to Brora, so preserving Buckie's GD advantage.

That is me getting East Stirling and East Kilbride mixed up.

Meanwhile in NLN North- the majority of the playoffs finished 0-0 and went to pens....

In Nort West Counties, the playoffs got moved as Charnock Richard had a huge fixture backlog and went on a silly run to make the playoffs. I think they played 8 games in two weeks and won every one(?)

NPL and NWCL expecting huge crowds for their playoffs
Marine - all ticket sell out
Macclesfield - expecting 4k
Prescot - expecting close to 2k
Runcorn - 1600 sell out
Bury expecting a huge crowd for their match tonight

S****horpe I believe broke the league record again at the weekend for crowds, but lost on pens...

In Scotland, the East Kilbride vs Buckie Thistle play-off match never happened with the tie being awarded to East Kilbride. Issue was with Buckie not having an SFA bronze level certificate re whatever that requires. Like Gateshead in England they have been denied for non directly football reasons.

Buckie were going to appeal but it now appears that they have accepted their fate. Rather peculiar thing is that there are usually a few non league clubs that play in the Scottish League Cup each season and in the last few days it has been announced that Buckie will be one such club next season because err they apparently don't need this SFA bronze level certificate thingy to compete at their ground vs league clubs in the Scottish League Club. Hee hum

In the league Stranraer have finished bottom ( beat Stenhousemuir, the League 2 winners, in their final match to no avail since 2nd bottom Clyde also won ).

So the play-off final for a place in the league next season will be Stranraer vs East Kilbride.

Buckie hadn't upgraded their floodlights in time for the end of March deadline.
There was also a couple of other issues regarding pitch size, safety officers and a matchday doctor.

Bromley promoted to the football league.
Looks like they will have to dig up their plastic pitch.
