FA Vase set to continue after lockdown as is FA Youth Cup.

Most of the step 3 to step 7 are given the option to put on competitions after lockdown. Most leagues have said no...

Love the FA vase and the FA Youth Cup would be great to get them done. My last FA Youth Cup match was semi final in 2008, Chelsea v Villa. Great to see Bolton thriving with Nathan Delfouneso leading the line, the guy looked a gem in that semi but has had the grit to grind out a career. Mark Albrighton, Nathan Baker, Keiron Clark and Barry Bannan all had good careers.

My mistake 2019 saw Hamlet beat CVPM and then get wiped by Forest Green Rovers in front of a crowd of about 300, a very good crowd for youth football, bit like the FA Cup Hamlet had already played 4 qualifying rounds & had a walk over in the first rnd v Crawley. Good atmosphere despite the result & because it was mainly friends, family & hard core fans probably the most diverse crowd I have seen in a football stadium.

Two great competitions for lots of reasons

Just as you thought it had all gone quiet in the National League, the committee via an independent hearing have recommended:
Dover fined 40k and 12pt deduction for next season
All N&S clubs who failed to fulfill a fixture charged 2K per fixture and a suspended 2pt deduction.

Created outrage - Dover may fold.
The N & S teams looking to form a group appeal.

Brutal ruling. Compounding some ridiculous decisions.

No other businesses are being punished in this way for a pragmatic approach to managing their finances and protecting their fans from COVID, indeed in my view the National League played on too long in front of fans at the beginning of the first wave, voted with my feet from mid Feb 2020.

All the penalties are ridiculous but singling out Dover in the National League and effectively punishing them twice with a fine and points deductions is particularly unjust when the National League North & South clubs have no points deductions.

There is also a proposed vote of no confidence in the board.
However, I'm not sure if it will get through(national clubs will vote against).
Even if it gets through, will it change the running of the league?

With the voting structure so heavily weighted in favour of the National League Sides as opposed to one member one vote for those in South & North I cant see Turkeys voting for Christmas.

As an organisation they have demonstrated that they are not fit for purpose surely the primary role should be duty of care to all its members. It was only as result of sensible decisions made by teams in the regional divisions that forced their hand to suspend the leagues. There is obviously a big difference in what is considered a sustainable model for non league sides, having seen the two clubs I follow (from childhood) Worcester and since a student Dulwich both requiring community rescue and now looking in rude health I have a fairly fixed view but accept there are others.

To punish clubs for the dithering of the NL management committee and the rational for doing so is beyond reason, the management committee should be accountable time for change?

Very clear explanation of the total Horlicks that defines financial governance was defined by the National League board.

Barwick walks before he is pushed. EGM vote of no confidence to go ahead, but unlikely to pass.

And so Harrogate won the FA Trophy. Biggest in the clubs history, strange one though. And the 2021 final is in 3 weeks time. At least as H will win again as it is Hereford v Hornchurch

I see Hebburn are also in the  Vase for 2021 also. They are in last 8 with other teams at semis stage but could defend their title win today over the next few weekends.

if they do, all 4 finals will be won by a team starting with H.

They were beaten by Warrington Rylands, who are a very ambitious club funded by one of the leading football agents.
