Property developers and the death of non league football clubs

There is not a chance that any football below National League North/South will finish.
No idea how they will sort out promotion/relegation wtc

Steps 3 - 6 likely to be null and void meaning no promotion and relegation again.
The NL independent panel recommendation has been leaked and will cause controversy as there are recommended significant swings in funds.

Bit of a farce in the FA Trophy rules. With inclement weather this weekend most fixtures will be postponed.
If the fixture cannot be played by Friday, both sides are kicked.
Halifax v Southport is off. Southport offered to switch, Halifax refused. Re-arranged for Tuesday, but that may be an issue weather wise.

The Vase is currently suspended as it is not deemed an elite competition

It has been rearranged for Tuesday, but the forecast is for torrential rain in Yorkshire.

I'm sure the FA will intervene if it gets called off again. I guess Wed & Thurs as provisional dates with a switch or plastic pitch as options.

In my view the best football competition in Britain definitely the most competitive a bunfight between the upper echelons of 14 leagues of similar standard. cant wait for it to be back.

National League set to stop as grants stopped and replaced with loans.
No chance the clubs will agree to carry on.

Pitch inspection 1.30 - if it fails game will be played at Southport tonight

If it passes, but fails close to kick off, match will switch to Southport tomorrow

Well we beat Halifax and have the mighty Torquay next if the FA agree to testing.
Meanwhile N & S suspended, but national still going.

It looks like NL is pushing for top division to continue to ensure they don't get penalised for sponsors contract breach.
All about money and not above health.

Southport are livid with the league and Fylde. Our game in between Christmas and NY was cancelled at our request due to symptoms in 2 players. The league tried to force us to play and Fylde put in a written protest...

All makes me so angry with ITUs overflowing regardless of any spin club owners put on community values etc .. as you said it is all done to money. Unless central government are going to fund it in a fairway consistent with bona fida income non league football should never have started, contracts have been activated that were always going to be untenable. In my mind the National League board are accountable for some very poor decisions.

Government had zoom calls with clubs explaining loan and Grant options.
Clubs have asked for more time to discuss.

National League clubs were supposed to have voted on null and void today, but league yet to send out resolutions.

Meanwhile, Liverpool sign former Southport loanee, Ben Davies from Preston.

It appears those resolutions have now been sent out.  This is from the BBC live transfer deadline day feed:

The National League has written to all 66 clubs tonight to ask them if they want to end the season.

The clubs have been presented with four resolutions, the first of which is to allow the National League to be allowed to determine its short-term future, with the North and South Divisions deciding on theirs.

If that wish is granted, the two decisions will be made by a straight majority.
