Congrats to Emily, that's a wonderful win, her third, 3 set win this week, and the best result of them all. I didn't expect her to win today, so a wonderful surprise and some payoff for all her work, since that third set will have required stamina and energy. She's now also recovered 4 more of those last lost 12 points, so back up 33 to 623 in the live rankings. One more win would have Emily on the verge of being back in the 500s again, so defeating Freya's conqueror would be double sweet.

Two close losses in the doubles unfortunately, both Freya+ and Emily+ lose their SFs, so neither makes the final. cry

That's a great result for Em, I'm delighted for her. The 7 pts for reaching the final now becomes her biggest counter, replacing the 6 pts for reaching R16 of the Shrewsbury 25k as a qualifier last Nov. This takes Em up to 604 in the live rankings.... so still needs that last one to make it back safely into the 500s by the end of Indian Wells. Wishing her well with that match. As Peter notes Tereza hasn't shaken up the trees of late, and was taken to a first set TB today by the WR720.
