QR1: Alicia ROBINSON (GBR) UNR v. Jenny KLITCH (USA) UNR
Mrs. Klitch has a CH of 147 in 1987. (Although in an interview, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtmsSDqycKo, she claims it was 'as high as 50'; rankings data I could find does not corroborate this) She played in Daytona Beach in January this year, and the last time she had played a pro event before that was over 30 years ago, in the 1988 Coupe Rogers. In 1984, she made R32 at Roland Garros, won the Nashville WTA event, and had wins elsewhere against Kathy Rinaldi & Helena Sukova. She had qualified for the French Open at 15, in 1980, but didn't have a passport. She became a sports lawyer, for the ubiquitous Octagon Sports, after playing.
She is NOT, however the oldest player we have played this year. Emily Appleton met Sylvia Schenk in R16 of the Fort-de-France $15K, in week 2, who was two weeks shy of her 54th Birthday on that occasion - over a year older than Mrs. Klitch is today. Both of those are over a decade older than any player we faced in 2017.

Alicia's next opponent is marginally less interesting than her last, but still has an interesting quirk.
Ms. Osabuohien was at Northern Illinois, where she graduated in 2016-17 with a 66% win record.
The interesting part is that her ITF profile lists her coach as Kamau Murray - who helped Sloane Stephens' to her USO victory.
She's probably just at his XS tennis academy in Chicago (Northern Illinos connection) which is where Murray grew up.
