Laura had enough of the break tit-for-tat, and just decided to win instead
7-5 6-3

Harriet+ into a MTB

Laura+Stollar 2-2 versus Galfi+

Surprised the Magyars aren't playing together.

Harriet+ win 6-2, 4-6, 10-6, taking her up to a new dubs CH, around 265, and just ahead of EWS as GB8

So who are people going for?  I think Laura (though she'll be in tears if she read this knowing my awful track record biggrin )

Just a shame the 14-0 will go to at least a 1 when Harriet and Laura play tomorrow, and hopefully the next day a 2 if Katy and Gaby meet in the SF. Ideally Harriet and Katy to keep progressing this week to push towards the 200 mark.

Harriet on form might edge this I think.

15-love it is, as Laura+ win the MTB 10-5.

If we throw in Taco's title in Brazil, the winning streak extends to 19 matches.

Laura and Harriet are tied at 171= in the Race. I think that if Harriet wins their match, she might qualify for a SE for the following week's 25k?

You only qualify for an SE if you are still competing when the following week's qualifying starts.
If qualifying starts Saturday, then an SE is on the cards. Harriet will start the match as underdog though...

If they were playing peskies, I would say Laura was the underdog, but she somehow seems to play better against home growns. Rightly or wrongly, I find myself rooting for Harriet.

This is true!
Though the sample sizes are not comparable.
Career to date Laura is:
15-9 against GBR (62.5%)
142-144 against Peskies (49.65%)

Figures exclude $10/15K/25K qualifying, as those records are not easily available.

Edit: for edits

It does look as if qualifying starts on Saturday, with sign-in on Friday evening. It's a 64 draw, and Harriet is listed at Q4 on the acceptance list, so may get into the main draw anyway.

Tough to choose between Laura and Harriet - both players I have followed for quite a while now. If Laura serves well, then she will win, if not then Harriet has the form right now.
