In the first and third sets, the Greek got >65% of 1st serves in, but won less than half; in the second, she got fewer in, but won 85%
Roughly 6 points per service game in every set.
Emily perhaps a bit lucky that her opponent didn't seem to realise what it was that was working for her.

Data I post, opinions I offer, 'facts' I assert, are almost certainly all stupidly wrong.
Team Emily's combined exploits this morning have meant we stand on the week at 17 wins from 17 entries.
That makes this week 7/9 this year where we have had a ratio of >=1.000 of entries to wins.
The only two exceptions were the two weeks that contained a GB event.
Therefore I very scientifically hereby call for a ban on all GB events henceforth

Well done Emily eventually :)
Here's hoping she can benefit from not over-exerting herself in dubs this week to come up with another singles win next...

Or to make sure that only 1 or 2 Brits can enter any event that happens to be located in the UK - so let's just have 2-3 WTA events during the grass court season and be done with the rest. That way we can maintain this all important record of having more wins than entries.
Oh almost definitely. And then the promising juniors can be persuaded not even to bother trying because they will never get onto the ladder. The new ITF reforms should then make it clear that they will never be able to call themselves professionals, so why try at all..
