A first win on tour of the year for Anna (i.e. excluding Fed Cup)
R16: Anna SMITH/Renata VORACOVA (GBR/CZE) [1] 79 (47 + 32) defeated Madison BRENGLE/Christina MCHALE (USA/USA) 282 (135 + 147) 7-6(3) 6-3

There's a second great doubles result here, which I thought might be a bit of a banana skin for Anna against Brengle and Hale. It's the first main draw match I think Anna and Renata have won together. May they have a few more this week.
They did play very late, even for night owls, and not late enough to catch early birds.
Everyone saw Hev's result and was too depressed to look further

Back-to-back Brit doubles quarter-final action tonight.
We start with Hev & Tatjana; the former of whose back must have recovered sufficiently to at least start today, 0-1*
Anna & Renata follow on next, after this match concludes.

QF: Anna SMITH/Renata VORACOVA (GBR/CZE) [1] 79 (47 + 32) lost to Kaitlyn CHRISTIAN/Sabrina SANTAMARIA (USA/USA) 242 (100 + 142) 4-6 5-7
QF: Heather WATSON/Tatjana MARIA (GBR/GER) 433 (136 + 297) defeated Desirae KRAWCZYK/Giuliana OLMOS (USA/MEX) 253 (144 + 109) 4-6 6-4 [10-3]
SF: Heather WATSON/Tatjana MARIA (GBR/GER) 433 (136 + 297) v. Lara ARRUABARRENA/Arantxa PARRA SANTONJA (ESP/ESP) 139 (59 + 80)
Making the final would push Hev back into the doubles top 100

That was not a great performance by Anna and Renata and am not sure how long that partnership will last. They had numerous opportunities to regain parity in the second set but could not hold their serve at all when it mattered, and between them couldn't buy a second serve point, although their opponents did quite effectively. There may be questions about whether Anna's game is strong enough to proceed any higher, but she did comparatively better with Nicole Melichar end of last year.
Hev's first finial, single or doubles since last years Wimbledon Mixed.
Her first WTA final since Hong Kong doubles in Oct. 2016.
Will be looking for her fourth WTA doubles title, and first since Baku in 2014; they play the conquerors of Anna & Renata.
F: Heather WATSON/Tatjana MARIA (GBR/GER) 433 (136 + 297) v. Kaitlyn CHRISTIAN/Sabrina SANTAMARIA (USA/USA) 242 (100 + 142)

can I ask Blob, what is TWKUA in your footnote on your posts??
Edit - I am guessing you are referencing the music group "They Will Kill Us All", but that is purely my friend Google helping me out!
