I went to Aberdeen once. It was dark all day and so cold I wore my pyjamas under my suit. Interesting to go to the real North East of Britain mind.

I consider Aberdeen to be the East of Scotland along with Dundee, Glasgow being the West. Edinburgh isnt Scotland for me its basically a town for tourists filled with English and Tories. More culture in a pot of yoghurt as he saying goes.

What a lot of hatred in some of these posts!  It can't make him happy.

No hatred whatsoever KK you must live a very sheltered life. Its a cultural observation. Nothing against English people (Im part English) or tourists. Edinburgh is a pretty city but doesnt reflect Scottish people as a nation. That was all.

Anyway lets move on.

Guess it helps to understand Jaggyisms, KK. For instance "filled with" means "more than Jaggy would like". And does jump the shark on occasions.

Edinburgh's 5 MPs are split 3 SNP, 1 Labour and 1 Lib Dem. The Edinburgh council is run by an SNP/Labour coalition.

Never seen snow like this with the Tories! Actually to be fair, possibly did back in the distant past when Edinburgh was last a Tory city.

Taco now back at the table... and started bolting their meal rather fast... so a spot of indigestion has now caught up with them. They've been behind twice in the second set, both times have recovered the break. Now time to hold their own serve to save them having to find the room for dessert too. 6-0 *4-5

Well Taco successfully made it through the bout of indigestion winning the second set on a TB. Their opponents in the Final still to be decided but could be the top seeds.

SF: Moore/Perrin (GBR/SUI) [3] 448 beat Brito/Giangreco Campiz (CHI/PAR) 6-0 7-6(4) smile

Taco have a truly dreadful record in finals together.

Apologies then, Jaggy.  I am afraid it is my experience of life rather than being sheltered which made me make that observation.   My experience as a result of having an English voice, (my fiercly Scottish grandmother, Scottish husband and Scottish surname not being apparent!)

It's improved now though

F: Moore/Perrin (GBR/SUI) [3] 448 defeated Hsu/Zacarias (TPE/MEX) 781 6-4 3-6 [13-11]

Tara's 8th career doubles title; her second with Taco.
2nd, and best so far on clay (other was a $10K); 5th in total at $25K.
Tara has won at least one pro title in 9 of the last 11 years.

For Taco, the record in finals improves to 2-7, but 2-2 in their last 4.
Both Taco titles came in South America, adding this one to last years Mexican $80K.

Very good   biggrin

Hopefully they were just fully focussed on the here and now and getting over the line in the MTB rather than any concern then about their finals record but it is good to improve it.

Hope they can keep pushing their doubles ranking up. Though Tara, sort out your singles.

Good glad to see the Taco victory, I hope it helps them both feel better, especially Connie after she lost her SF singles match in 3 sets earlier in the afternoon. smilesmile
