That's a super win from Ms. Swan She has now won all three matches she has played in 2018 against higher ranked opponents (5-3 overall)
It also happens to be the 100th win by the GB women this year. 27 different players have won at least one match. Heather has most wins, with 10 (includes Fed Cup). If you don't include Fed Cup, then Gabi & Emily App have most wins, with 8 each. Gabi has best win % to date: 88.89% (8-1)
The comparison to 2017 is favourable across the board, although, due to an additional UK event last year compared to this, we achieved the century slightly earlier, on Valentines day.
Summary of ramblings
*NB the higher number of events but lower number of entries is interesting - the extra UK event accounts for most of it, but also, our players are not grouping up overseas as much so far this year as last - whether by design or accident - particularly in Iberia and around the Mediterranean. It will be interesting to see whether this holds for the year as a whole, or is something that will get smoothed out with sufficient number of data points.

Good stuff, thanks blob. My impression, and clearly continuing this week so far, is of a real upturn in early year 25K performance levels and spread around a number of players.
Started looking up the last GB player not named Amanda to reach >=$25K QF <Edit> ON CLAY</Edit>was, but it turns out it happens pretty often actually. SF, though, is a different matter entirely... (Tangent: Mandy MIA [missing injured again] and missed)
