Week 8 - ITF ($25K) - Curitiba, Brazil - Clay

A chance to relish all the same old juicy fast food puns I used in 2016 when they played!
By coincidence, both opponents have the same CH.

R32: Tara MOORE (GBR) 422 v. Cindy BURGER (NED) 328 (CH 134, Nov. 2016)
H2H 0-1
2016 Sao Paulo, Brazil - $25K - Clay - R16 - Burger 7-5 6-2

R32: Katie SWAN (GBR) 295 v. Barbara HAAS (AUT) 177 (CH 134, Sep. 2016)

The winners of these two matches meet each other in the next round.

Apologies to everyone for the last few days of posting logorrhoea.
Horrible toothache has had me looking for any and every distraction.
Tomorrow it gets fixed (hopefully), and I'll calm down again.
Sorry about the flood.

Both matches are now on Tuesday instead. Neither Katie nor Tara are scheduled for Tuesday singles action.

Bad draws all over the world for Brits this week.

Hopefully the training block for Katie pays off.

The winners of these two matches meet each other in the next round.

Just to insert that Haas is the 2nd seed too, it is a bad draw.

Both doubles well underway - different trajectories through the first set:
Taco take their first set, 6-3 1-1*
Ms. Swan & Montserrat lose their first set, 2-6 2-1*

Taco are through. Served for it twice at 5-4 and 6-6, before taking the second set 7-6(3)
Scoreboard has frozen for me on Katie's match at 2-6 6-4 10-11* (had 3 match points, 2 on own serve)

Edit: - Finally come up - they lost the last point cry

QF: Moore/Perrin (GBR/SUI) [3] 418 v. Andrianjafitrimo/Ferro (FRA/FRA) 980
(In no way did I list this just so I could type out Tessah's wonderful name of Malagasy heritage, uh-uh. And in no way did I add that last explanation just so that I could use the word, 'Malagasy', no, siree!)

Or, play the first game and go off for the rain then. See if I care!

OK, I was just trying to help when I sent vibes across the ocean that it would be a little while before Tara lost another game. I should have been more specific.
