Congratulations to Harriet there.. that's 2/2 Brit women won through to 25k finals today
Once Harriet's points go on from this week - she qualified and so has 31 so far - she will go up to around WR 277, which is her current CH. If she wins the final she would go up to around WR 260. The other semi final will follow now, and includes the #seed, WR 189.

Well, it won't be the 3rd seed Harriet will face as she has retired less than 15 mins into her match. Karolina Muchova (CZE) will be her opponent instead.
If Harriet, Katy, Katie and Katie can each pick up a couple of 25ks this year I'll be very pleased :)
Good luck harriet!
Agreed & agreed.
It would be remarkable though, the most titles at all ITF levels combined that we have won in a single year since 2000, was 8 in 2008, when just three players - Annie, Bally & Mel - collected 4 $25K, 1 $50K, 1 $50K+H, 1 $75K and a $100K+H between them: Annie 4 titles, the others 2 each - Annies 4 titles was the only time since 2000 that a GB player has won more than 2 ITF titles over $10/15K in a single season (that actually holds true, even if you also include all WTA titles). The most $25K we have won in a single year in that period is 6, in 2006 (those were the only >$10K ITF titles we won that year)
Here is a chart of the numbers:
So, I hope we can achieve a ttthat rate this year given the promising group movment in that direction, but it will be an even greater achievement than we might usually suppose.

Data I post, opinions I offer, 'facts' I assert, are almost certainly all stupidly wrong.
Mandy Minella played last year's Wimbledon four months pregnant so this must be one of her first tournaments back after having her baby.
We have a mutual friend and I was lucky enough to sit in her player's box at the 2016 US Open match against Svitolina. Lovely family!
I have a real soft spot for Mandy Minella too - lovely elegant player to watch, seemingly really nice woman - remember watching her give Amanda Carreras a bit of a lesson in grass court tennis at Wimbly qualis.
But was thrilled that Harriet came through
And brilliant to see her now make the final - allez, Harriet !
