Holly is not dissimilar in physique from Whitney Osuigwe, I haven't seen her since the summer and then she looked a bit more willowy , and understandibly a bit physically weaker than the older Whitney but when they played at Roehampton last year it was difficult to know who was who from a tennis perspective. As has been said before it wasn't a great game and one of the first couple of games for Whitney on grass but I can't imagine it would be a surface Holly has had much exposure to either.
14 turning 15 is when you see the girls become much stronger very much in the way Katie Swan forged into the upper tier of juniors at 15 and I am not that surprised given the time out and way Emma has pushed on that Holly also got the result she did.
It is fabulous to have two such quality young players as Emma and Holly let's hope they push each other on through top level juniors and into the WTA tour.
Winning two of those 15Ks. What an incredibly impressive performance from Holly.
Goodness. Yes, absolutely, what a win
(And, yes, completely agree with Oakie's comments, re physique and Whitney. I also have a lot of faith in Holly's team/parents; if she hasn't played a huge number of tournaments, that's because it was the right thing to do).
Wow very impressive win then. Good to see Holly back. A few good weeks here should see her into the top 100 too. I'm sure Emma's success will have spurred her on.
Extremely impressive pair of wins for someone out for so long. Her third round opponent has progressed through two matches losing only a couple of games (against a top 100 ranked girl)
R2
Holly Fischer d. (12) Kacey Harvey (USA) 7-5 7-6(5)
Just to mention, little Mila Burlek (only 13), with a decent French girl, came within a whisker of winning her doubles match.
(Holly and her partner romped through theirs....)

I don't think she played after junior Wimby but she did play a couple of warm-up UTR money events in the States during January in which she did very well - including a 3-set win over American Stephanie Nemtsova, current WTA 997
