At least Jodie is not in the same half of the draw as Rebecca Marino, who is going for a hat-trick of titles in Antalya, having won the last two weeks titles without losing a single set, in her first events after more than 5 years away from the sport.

Jade is one of those dynamo bunny players, brought up in the south on clay, the ball always comes back, it's like a brick wall. I didn't fancy Jodie's chances.....

Yes indeed.
R1: BURRAGE, Jodie Anna (GBR) 538 is beaten convincingly by SUVRIJN, Jade (FRA) 583 CH=345 2014 6-2 6-3
Jodie is still up in doubles later today though, playing with Amina Anshba (RUS), an 18yr old with a handy doubles ranking of 437 against another two Russian players.
Jodie's ranking is 803, so 803+437=1240 vs 1228.
QF: Burrage/Anshba (GBR/RUS) 1240 lost to Serban/Simion (ROU/ROU) [1] 620 2-6 4-6
Rebecca Marino still hasn't lost a set in the 2˝ events she's played here since her comeback after a 5 year hiatus; 12 matches in a row - that's Gabi Taylor-like!
