So unranked, unseeded, and practically unknown, Jack Findel Hawkins is the last Brit standing at the 25k .....
Shame for Ed.
Definitely not unknown on the college tennis pages, he would have a higher profile if had played in a conference other than the ASUN but ... the world universities doubles silver medalist 2017 has excelled at the level he was chosen/chose to play at.
he was ASUN Freshaman of the year 2014, ASUN all conference first team
ASUN All conference first team 2015,
ASUN player of the year 2016, ASUN All-Conference 1st team
ASUN player of the year 2017, ASUN All-Conference 1st team
I know there's been lots of mention of him on the college pages, and websites, with all his achievements.
I meant in terms of general British tennis profile, to the average follower.
Yep I know you know but when you see it written down its not a bad CV, he falls into that group of juniors whose junior rank is limited by the fact they only play a few British junior events, if he travelled extensively he could have probably knocked 6-700 places off his junior rank and played in one of the more prestigious college programmes, that said I am sure he had a great time in Jacksonville (although there is probably more fun to be had watching the suns than the Jags) and really couldnt have done much better. It will be interesting to see how he progresses during the summer.
As a baseline NCAA singles would be consistent with a very strong futures tournament with some decent challenger players in it.

The main aim was to pick up ranking points to get him into ITF events. This has been achieved and I can see him getting to 600-700 by the end of the year.

Maybe it's time Marcus had a proper crack at challenger doubles? He's obviously a talented player, if he's not prepared to dedicate himself to getting in the shape to have a go at singles he'll probably have a better chance on the doubles circuit where his physical limitations won't be exposed as much.

Yes, would be great to see Marcus give doubles a real go, even better a proper real go.
As it is he will be getting up to fairly close to his doubles CH 209. That does include his Wimbledon L16 points with Jay but even then clearly could be very much higher.
