Well done Emily, another title. And another 12 points in reserve to maintain her ranking. But the prize money is still minimal - just $955 per pair last time I checked
Yes, the points is something I was trying to check. Indy made this comment earlier on in this thread, but I realised I don't know how he obtained this information, since I can't find individual doubles counters anywhere - this site shows only singles counters. So Indy, if you read this....
"Well done. Em though can't increase her doubles ranking points total in a 15K since last week's title 12 points is now her lowest counter and she has nothing to come off until 25K title points come off in May."
From what I can check though, and this is the only table I did find, Emily's 11th and 12th counters are just 4 points each, so she still should be able to add these 12 pointers to her tally. For next week in the live rankings, following last week's win, it shows her going up 4 places from WR267 to WR263 (and +8 pts, replacing one of the 4 pointers). So not much increase certainly. If anyone knows how to find lists of the doubles counters that would be good to know. But from the table below, I would assume this week's win will give her a further +8 points and a handful more places up. Certainly she needs to play more than 15k tournaments to get much increase in her doubles ranking.

Essentially a while ago I worked through our top doubles players events and made a list of their counters and tied them up with their then ranking points totals. Once that trawl was done it has been easy enough to keep it updated week to week. Pen and paper job so no magic files that I can pass!
A twentieth doubles title for Emily, with an eighteenth different partner. Consecutive titles. The third overall in Sharm (to add to last week, and one in 2014, with Eden). All bar one of her titles came on hard courts (the other was on grass, in India!). It's the tenth title at $15K/old $10K level (she also won an additional two $15K when they were the rung above $10K)
I'll just regurgitate the stats every week
Just keeps rolling on, whatever obstacles are thrown in her way, no matter how often we all write her off, she keeps achieving. An inspiration for all our players for many of their entire lives!
You beat me to all the stats, as you usually do these days I've got one more '20' stat for you though - this is the 20th consecutive calendar year that Emily has played at least one ITF Pro event! (she may not like remembering the first event, her only one in 1999, when she got double bagelled by the aptly named Schnell in Welwyn, but Emily was only 15 at the time, and Schnell had been WR 115)
