Emily and Anastasia's opponents eventually come through after a ding-dong MTB.. and it's the unseeded Chinese pair that come through against Anna Morgina +, the fourth seeds. Since their livescores profile pic is a single picture of the two Chinese players, one gets the impression they play together a little more than most match ups here. Their pic also has them winning something together too
This 'scandal' is in the men's event as Sharm this week but the French lads are not wrong (although I guess maybe we should thank Sharm for putting on so many and they do what they have to do?):

1 ticket to go watch 1st round of ATP 250 tournament in Montpellier = 5 euros... 1 ticket to go watch 1st round of ITF futures tournament in Sharm El Sheikh = 20 dollars.... @ITFprocircuit @ATPWorldTour can someone explain this to me?

Fact that @JeroenVanneste couldnt get to the tennis courts here in Sharm el Sheikh just to come watch his roomate without having to pay $20 just because hes not staying at the official hotel is a joke @ITF_Tennis
Em gets through to another final, without any exertion
SF: Emily WEBLEY-SMITH/Anastasia PRIBYLOVA (GBR/RUS) [1] 745 (270+475) defeated Yexin MA/Yugi SHENG (CHN/CHN) 1468 w/o

I wonder what happened... none of the Chinese girls were involved in singles. Unless somehow one of them got injured in the doubles match they won yesterday afternoon.
A twentieth doubles title for Emily, with an eighteenth different partner.
Consecutive titles.
The third overall in Sharm (to add to last week, and one in 2014, with Eden).
All bar one of her titles came on hard courts (the other was on grass, in India!).
It's the tenth title at $15K/old $10K level (she also won an additional two $15K when they were the rung above $10K)
I'll just regurgitate the stats every week
Just keeps rolling on, whatever obstacles are thrown in her way, no matter how often we all write her off, she keeps achieving. An inspiration for all our players for many of their entire lives!

Well done Emily, another title. And another 12 points in reserve to maintain her ranking. But the prize money is still minimal - just $955 per pair last time I checked

Yes, the points is something I was trying to check. Indy made this comment earlier on in this thread, but I realised I don't know how he obtained this information, since I can't find individual doubles counters anywhere - this site shows only singles counters. So Indy, if you read this....
"Well done. Em though can't increase her doubles ranking points total in a 15K since last week's title 12 points is now her lowest counter and she has nothing to come off until 25K title points come off in May."
From what I can check though, and this is the only table I did find, Emily's 11th and 12th counters are just 4 points each, so she still should be able to add these 12 pointers to her tally. For next week in the live rankings, following last week's win, it shows her going up 4 places from WR267 to WR263 (and +8 pts, replacing one of the 4 pointers). So not much increase certainly. If anyone knows how to find lists of the doubles counters that would be good to know. But from the table below, I would assume this week's win will give her a further +8 points and a handful more places up. Certainly she needs to play more than 15k tournaments to get much increase in her doubles ranking.
Emily's current points total of 251 is broken down as follows
50 HUA HIN 3 , THAILAND 25K May 8, 2017 30 LANDISVILLE , PENNSYLVANIA 25K August 8, 2017 30 GATINEAU , CANADA 25K July 17, 2017 25 POITIERS , FRANCE 100K October 23, 2017 25 SAINT-PETERSBURG , RUSSIA 100K September 18, 2017 18 PUNE 2 , INDIA 25K December 11, 2017 18 JOUE-LES-TOURS , FRANCE 25K October 16, 2017 18 CLERMONT-FERRAND , FRANCE 25K September 26, 2017 15 GRANBY , CANADA 60K July 24, 2017 18 DAKAR , SENEGAL 25K November 13, 2017 4 SHARM EL SHEIKH 3 , EGYPT 15K February 20, 2017
251
Last weeks win will be her 11th couter - this weeks win looks set to be first reserve. Nothing coming off until May. I expect she'll be globe-trotting again soon.
Ok thanks for clarifying Strongbow... and that it is 11 counters for women too, with the 12th being the reserve counter.
For the next 3 weeks Emily is still showing on the Sharm acceptance lists.
