Week 6, ITF 25k, Loughborough, Great Britain, Indoor, Hard

Two more losses, it's like a run on the bank of GB womens tennis
Tara lost, 5-7 2-6
Alicia suffered a startling reversal, 6-0 1-6 3-6

Well as Alicia has been doing of late, the really startling thing was her first set against a top 300 player. Pity though.

Was never going to be easy with us bringing mainly WCs and qualifiers to the party, but the draw generally made it less difficult and say a couple more wins beyond the two all Brit ties look a very reasonable hope.

Harriet broke to stay in the match, and again to take the second set...

3-6, 7-5

Freya 6-3 Jodie

Nell underway

Alicia's match looks suspicious.

Has all the hallmarks of having been a very good contest all throughout it's 3+ hour duration.
Eden takes it, just
6-7(5) 7-5 7-6(2)

Nell's final score was a 6-0 6-1 loss. She still has earlier done very well and hope she can still take plenty away from here.

So 3 through, 2 from the all Brit matches plus looking to Harriet, assuming nothing ( and she ultimately did well to survive ) did look a reasonable base point. Then just how many others could get a no doubt odds against win on the day. Some decent looking performances but remained at that base camp.

I'm slightly worried that Nell's game will make it difficult for her to go deep. Her workrate on the court is immense and she will struggle if she has to play long back to back matches. It's great to watch though...
