Just Nell or Ella now can give us a men or women GB vs Pesky win in Loughborough today. Generally though hugely outranked, particularly our women, but kind of hoped for at least one win. Huge asks for these two though.

C'mon girls.

 

Edit: Oh, missed young Ben Jones who is in danger of winning the opening set of his R1 match against the #3 seed.

From *0-40, Ella saves a total of 5 BP, but Radwanska takes a sixth, in a 21 point game.

Ella was broken, broke back ( or rather, correction looking back at ITF scores, Ella broke first for *1-0 ) and has just been broken again in a very long ( I think 20 point ) game.

6-4 1-3*

Edit: as said, though I think my number of points has more chance of being right   ( ITF scores down for me so I was trying to deduce from the bet365 betting on future points ).

That extremely long 4th game proved the turning point in that set. Now the question is whether Ella has the energy and resolve to come back again in the 3rd set. The match is now over 2 hrs.
