Week 5 - ITF ($25K) - Glasgow, Great Britain, Hard Indoor

A helpful innovation from the ITF: on the momentum graph, whenever Eden serves a DF, or her opponent serves an ace or wins a BP, this is clearly labelled 'BAD'.

After a good start, rather too much BAD now. Eden trails 2*-4.

Eden lost 2-6, 1-6.

We'll get to see if Freya can fare better against the young Spaniard than did Eden.

I'll call two wins, and both Freya & Maia through to the QF (I sort of most of believe myself when I say it, too!)

Cracking win for Freya.

I fancy Maia against her opponent. Think she'll cope well with her game.

Nice 5 points each for those two, although they both have points to defend before the end of the month, 12 for Maia and 6 for Freya

Thrilled for not-so-little-any-more fave, Freya.

SO hope she's back to feeling good, with her tennis and re her injuries.

Freya holding her own. Very few service points lost, and no BP for either player through the first nine games, 5-4*

There was only one BP in the set, and Badosa Gibert made and took it
Freya 5-7 1-0*

In the second set, Freya made some BP but couldn't take them (0-4); her opponent was more ruthless (1-2)
5-7 *3-5
