R2/L32: Aidan McHugh (GBR) beat (Q) Jaimee Floyd Angele (FRA) 6-2 3-6 7-6(5)

R3/L16: Aidan McHugh (GBR) vs (14) Ondrej Styler (CZE)

Angele had beaten the #4 seed in R1 hence a lower seed for Aidan in R3.

Excellent result from Aidan.

Although Jaimee is a qualifier, it's worth noting that he is ATP 1259 and, although has been playing some juniors, didn't play a full season of it (didn't do junior Wimbly for instance) so is most definitely under-ranked.

He's also as tall as a telegraph pole and plays seriously good tennis. Well done to the young Scot.

Aidan got through in the doubles as well. And having done the double against Angele he now has a double to come against Styler.

Styler beat the JWR1 Timofey Skatov last week, before losing to eventual winner Hugo Gaston, so he is like Aidan in good form. Aidan is on Show Court 3 for both matches

SF: Aidan McHugh (GBR) vs (6) Chun Hsin Tseng (TPE)

16 yo Tseng, born August 2001, at JWR 6, is the youngest player in the top 10 junior rankings and in his QF he beat the top seed and JWR 1 ( and second youngest player in the top 10 junior rankings ) Timofey Skatov ( Aidan's doubles partner here ).
