Cam lost that first set 5-7. He is now 5-2* up in the second set, so this time hopefully ...

L16: (3) Cameron Norrie WR 114 (CH 110 in October 2017) beat Vincent Millot (FRA) WR 188 (CH 135 in October 2016) 5-7 6-2 6-0

QF: (3) Cameron Norrie WR 114 (CH 110 in October 2017) vs (7) Kenny de Schepper (FRA) WR 158 (CH 62 in April 2014)

H2H: 0-1. de Schepper beat Cam on Nottingham Challenger grass in July 7-5 5-7 6-4

From CD's description of Millot, Cam would seem to have probably played very well to bagel him in that final set, the most straightforward of a good number of third set wins for Brits in the last couple of days.

Good result to see when I logged on:  thought he might have blown it when I went to bed at the end of the first set!  smile

QF:  (1) Hugo Nys & Tim Pütz (FRA/GER) CR 256 (91+165) defeated Cam Norrie & Rubin Statham (NZL) CR 885 (633+252) by 7-6(9) 6-7(12) [11-9]

So close!  hmm

Not so good today, cam lost 4 and 4 versus De schepper. Whos name sounds like a Europop DJ who'd spend most of him time in ibiza, but clearly a reasonable tennis player

Bad result for the real British number 1, let's put this down to early season strange form. Still in course for the top 30 year end though.

I like Norrie he is from Scottish parents but he is only the Scottish No 2 behind let me think ? Oh yes Andy Murray who is the real British Number 1

Vandy's predictions for next year have Andy as number one. So he's going for Andy too really.

How can Andy be the real number 1 when he has not played in 6 months. Is like saying on current form, Pele is better than Messi.  We have not seen Pele play this year so we cannot be sure he is better than Messi.....

Cam is the real British number 1 now. The computer rankings may not say so, but they soon will.

Vandy - did someone hack your computer?

It was YOU who said Andy would be number one at the end of 2018, you

(See your predictions for Sim's table)
