GB ITF tournaments

Not ITF, but wasnt sure where else to post this; ATP 2020 calendar announced, one or two changes due to ATP Cup in first week;

However, Antalya grass court event before Wimbledon has dropped and is tba. ALthough we have Eastbourne then, is there anything to prohibit another UK venue taking an ATP 250 event in the same week? I notice China has competing events? Just that friends of mine suggested a year back that Ilkley was v keen to get a main ATP tour slot, and this would seem to provide an opportunity for them in that respect

Looks like Glasgow has been confirmed for September 2019, not sure if it is men only or men and women, but date is shown on lta website

Hmmmm.... Glasgow Trophy has now disappeared from the list of Trophy events on the LTA site.

Wirral tournament has gone for his season.
There are outdoor fixtures in September and a men's event at Shrewsbury at the end of the year.

Is that confirmed? As usual  LTA site is only poor and doesn't show beyond April for itf events

Well that will be a bit of a bummer if there's not 4 women's 25k events after the grass season.

Last year it was 6 x 25k events throughout the year and 4 x 100k grass events = 550k combined.

This year they got rid of Soutsea 100k and boosted a 25k up to a 60k, so 60k and 3 x 25k before the grass (135k) and 3 100k's during the grass = 435k. So 4 post grass 25ks would be 535k, which would still be less than last year with Southsea, so scrapping Wirral and not replacing it would be a bit grim.

Information came directly from The tournament director.

I don't think paulisi was saying there wouldn't be a tournament, only that there wouldn't be one at Wirral. From what paulisi has said it sounds like they've decided on outdoor events rather than indoor in September, and from the stated British Tour feed up wild cards there are clearly plans for two W25s in September. It is intriguing as to where these would be if they are outdoor. Wrexham? Nottingham? Roehampton? Have they moved Chiswick (which has not yet appeared on the ITF calendar despite Woking being on there for a couple of weeks)?

Hope you're right RS, but it wouldn't be a huge shock if they ended up with 2 or 3 instead of the 4 and then reference these 2 Bolton/Sunderland ones as 'bonuses', when in reality they are actually saving costs. Fully support the scrapping of Southsea if it was going to be fully invested elsewhere where GB players would benefit far more.

Not really sure about other outdoor locations although I doubt Maia will be too happy, ha.

Just to confirm there will be 4 GB women's 25k events the other side of the grass season, all 4 in the London area - Chiswick, Woking and I think a couple at the National Tennis Centre. So that aforementioned Shrewsbury one must be male only - maybe it's a challenger?

Woking and Chiswick are both on the ITF calendar now - 29th July and 5th August. Waiting with interest to see when the others will appear.

Shrewsbury is a men's 25K in September. That's been on their website since before the women's event.

The LTA website currently shows nothing after this week  , they updated it all a couple of weeks back. Not to say it isnt on  just that the website has cleared it off currently

Just to say the same two weeks, mens itf calendar shows roehampton and chiswick. So wouldn't that be the 4 events, two womens and two mens?

As RedSquirel says, the September M25 is noted on the Shrewsbury Club website - with exact date to be confirmed. And Ace said 4 women's events
