Week 50 - ITF ($25K) - Pune, India Hard

Beth has lost 5-7 0-6 and Sam has lost 5-7 6-2 4-6. Em is also down a set 2-6 2-2. Unfortunately I thought there were a lot of warning signs on all those matches. It is a pity for Sam not to get to the main draw though, unless she can find a LL spot. EMily has just picked up a second set break 2-6 *3-2, so still has life....

That was ok Grachka, though sadly neither being a conveyer of good news. However Em did win the second set, and so she at least is back to all square now. 2-6 6-2 *1-2

There are also 3 doubles pairs - Katy and Beth are playing together, Sam is playing with Ana Veselinovic (so let's hope someone benefits from her play this week at least), and Em is playing with Anikta Raina, who she has frequently played with in the past. Em and Ankita are 2nd seeds, Sam and Ana 3rd seeds.

Emily and Ankita Raina have finally won their L16 doubles match, 10-3 in the MTB after passing up match points in the second set.
Katy and Beth are also playing their first round doubles now, but have just lost the first set 4-6.

Katy and Beth won the second set, but from *5-3 up in the MTB, they then proceeded to lose the next 7 points and went out 5-10 in that. cry

Pity. Though from following livescore, and double-checking the ITF PbP, in the MTB they were 3-1* up, 3-5* down, *5-5, and then lost the last 5 points.
