Things got rather more straightforward for Eden in the first set and she has just broken for the second time in the set to bring things back level in the second set.

Yes a good result from Eden after that interesting 2nd game. Those 24 serves of hers in that game were more than 1/3 of her total serves in the match (66), and the 17 mins for the first two games was getting on for 1/5 of the total match time (93 mins). Eden's blitz at the end was encouraging given she has the top seed up next.

This should be a new CH for Eden - just over 500 biggrin

Not sure if she'll play again this year - she is an Alt for the Dubai 100k.

Eden is on the Alts list but isn't in the Dubai qualifying draw despite players below her in the Alts list appearing in the draw.

 The full QR1 draw is beng played on Saturday when Eden is otherwise engaged.

Went with serve until *3-3, but the #1 seed broke twice in taking the last 4 games of the set. 0/1 BPs won against 2/2. 20 points to 30. So looks comfortableish.

A less comfortable start to the second set as Eden has a total of 4 BPs in a 16 point game but none converted.
