Eden's first round match has started now. She has just lost a close fought first set on a tie break. Just one break of serve each in the set 6-7(5)

In the second set, Eden has gone ahead 3x but been broken back each time, including whilst serving for the set at *5-4 cry Now she is serving just to stay in the match at *5-6.

Wow, that was an amazing win for Eden and congratulations to her there
Towards the end of the second set when she couldn't hold her serve at all I really thought she was down and out... but she managed to hold at the crucial time to get to the TB, and having won that breezed the third set. So a really determined impressive performance from Eden there, remembering Lara has been in the top 300 before.

SF this week has a chance of maybe getting her into the top 500. More likely needs to reach the final.

The youngster has come out fighting second set though and at the moment neither Eden nor her can hold onto their serves. Four successive breaks, and Eden starts *0-30 in the 5th. Has pulled it back to 30-30 and needs to regain her grip on the match now.

... But Eden is still broken again. 5 breaks in a row now, and she is 2-3* down in the second set.

Eden is starting off her match today with a bit of serving practice. She eventually holds her first serve after 24 points including 3 BPs against her. 1-1*

17 minutes in and Eden holds for 1-1*

Just a 24 point initial service game for her, won on her 8th game point having saved 3 BPs.
