Hopefully Sam can complete the turnaround in the decider...

You've gotta doff your cap to Ms. Thamchaiwat, that's the fourth consecutie three set match she's won; lost the middle set in each and came back - fair enough, having a banner week.
Disappointing for Samantha, but the grounding in the conditions should help for the other Indian events she's got coming up.

Hmm I wondered about this Thai junior. I had a feeling she might be under rather than over ranked as a promising junior there, but still that match was incredibly topsy turvy. Since mid July the Thai girl has reached one 15k final in Hua Hin, a 15k SF in Nonthaburi (early Oct), and a 25k SF in Pune (early Nov), so this is now the 2nd final she has reached in just a few months, with 2 additional SFs.

I think the heat may have been a factor - 92 degrees on average and also 500m at altitude.

Well I hope Sam recovers quickly if heat was a factor - she is playing qualies at Pune tomorrow ! (Fifth match on though)

I rather wonder if the Pune 25K was on her mind and also helped a more rapid conclusion to the final set. Flog yourself in that heat just to stay in contention in a 15K SF, which even if she had managed to win it would no doubt have then meant her missing out on Pune, one of the two 25Ks that she presumably came to India mainly because of? - maybe not.

I hope that she will be OK and ready to go. She's certainly had a warm-up!
