It's been reported that Kaia Kanepi requested 100,000 to play with the Estonian Fed Cup team this year, and when she was refused pulled out sick. I don't know if there is any previous bad blood there but certainly doesn't seem in the spirit of the competition. I always thought players played for free at the Fed Cup??

Can't have gone down well with Estonian tennis fans as this was their one opportunity to see her play at home

Back on serve *3-4. One thing Hev definitely does better than Jo is come into the net. In the game where Jo was broken back she had Kontaveit scurrying round well behind the baseline and it was crying out for Jo to come to the net and put it away. Instead she stayed back, let Anett carry on running and eventually put it into the net herself. Two points later she had lost the game.

Is this page working for others?

Yes, the fb page is working... And arrgggghhhhh, Jo blew that set 6-7(6), after serving for it twice. Too many UEs, and she's playing too far back, letting Kontaveit recover from rallies where she is on the defensive. Kontaveit was better with the bigger points in the latter part of the set, making fewer errors.

The battle of the Konta's is living up to billing:
6-7(5) 6-4 4-1*
Hold on to the end Jo

A very good win. I did not believe
6-7(5) 6-4 6-2

2-0 and favourites for the doubles, but into the next phase regardless

Good stuff

There is only one Konta, so good to see off Kontalite.
