Week 48 - USA F39 ($25,000) - Waco, TX (indoor hard)

Thats a couple of very useful weeks for Alex. Plenty of decent points and hopefully some confidence to take forward into next year.

With only 3 points to come off before the end of March and 17 in Total before the end of August. If Alex can stay fit then he appears to have a great chance of hopefully cracking the top 200.

Agree other than it's 17 points before his Wimbledon 35 points come off in mid July.

Was at least letting him win a second successive title before mentioning that a third would take Alex to 194 points and looking around the mid 260s in the rankings when these points were added on 18/12.

Bearing in mind the potential ramifications of Jay's guaranteed 203 points on 18/12, discussed towards the end of the Bangalore thread, just saying ...

Alex on fire at the moment. Perhaps if he needs a rest now, I should go over and watch his first match live next week. That would bring an end to his current run. On second thoughts .......... maybe I will stay where I am.

Great work Alex. Can you Threepeat ? Why not, I say.

DOH! Of course! Got caught up by the ATP website and only looking at is tournaments under 'Other Countable Tournaments'!
If he can repeat the last 3rd of this season(115 points) in the 1st two of next season then he would up around the 150/60's. Which having seen him play a couple of times I believe he is more than capable of playing at that sort of level/ ranking.
I wonder if he will continue with the season and play next week.
