Yes indeed, one more Jay.... then we can congratulate you!
And I loved Jay's confidence during the third set tie break...
Still would look a maybe aye, maybe nae, situation once everything had played out re his points to come off and assuming none further added than a SF win here. Jay would be about WR 250 and I certainly can't see that getting in on the initial cut so maybe having to wait it out and stew. For all reasons, just win the tournament, mate. Indeed that would be so tremendous in itself.
35 points is already Jay's best ever counter. Great work so far !
And whatever else happens, and despite the two 18 pointers still to come off this year - next Monday Jay will smash his career high. Still career highs are not his immediate target...
It is a new (Year ending?) Tournament for the top u21 players. Shorter sets, no lets, timer clock for in between points, and a couple of other innovations.
So a competition for u21 to aim at and testing new idea's to see how they go down.
This might be only 95% accurate but its the gist.

There is a thread regarding that tournament and the trial innovations.
I didn't know next Gen was an official status, so what would getting this status mean?
Otherwise it was just something dreamed up for marketing purposes because of the continued dominance of the big 4 - even if mostly only big 2 this year. However the London ATP finals showed this wasn't really necessary, although it did give the ATP chance to experiment with some gimmickry.
