Yes, it will. Unless I'm mistaken, I think Day may have also played on the Princeton team. I seem to remember seeing his name when looking up results.

Interesting to read that Stellenbosch had Pascal Maria (the top, top umpire) here this week, for both the men and the women's events (I assume), using the event as a 'level 2 officiating school' to 'teach the next generation of officials' (according to ITF website).

Must have made the players feel quite 'grown up'

And great for the up and coming umpires, of course, they'll have been really concentrating hard !

That's really interesting. Stellenbosch is a university town (the main Afrikaans speaking university in South Africa), and the events there are run by the Stellenbosch Academy of Sport, which looks an extremely professional set up with excellent training facilities, and great to hear that extends to training umpires too - that really is thinking about the sport holistically. And Stellenbosch itself is a stunningly beautiful location in the wine growing region of South Africa.

I have played cricket in Stellenbosch.  Behind the bowler was a massive wine bottling plant. I was sure that if I hit a big enough straight six, I could have smashed a few thousand bottles on wine in the process.  Sadly my innings didn't last long enough to test my theory.

But you are correct. It is a stunningly beautiful area around Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.  And if you like your wines, it is definitely worth a trip out there.
